I've been writing software professionally for 16 years, mostly backend systems and web applications: the parts that move data between systems, keep records straight, and make sure the right person gets notified. A small business needs the same work when it outgrows spreadsheets, just at a scale one developer can handle end to end.
Google Ads grew out of that. The software I build usually sits right where leads arrive, and it's hard to handle leads well without caring where they come from. Today I manage Google Ads for Orlando-area clients, using the Google Ads API for reporting and for the account changes they approve.
